"Mulio"

My version of the reaper. Something way different then the traditional. Wanted something that could hunt and seek you down with his large sloppy nose, and, when he finds you , paralyze you with his eyes alone. Super sculpey painted with acrylics. My airbrush compressor took a crap so I had to do this one with brushes. Enjoy "Mulio".

"THE DARK NUN"

I wanted to capture an old nun being taken over by a dark force and to show that I can do characters as well as creatures. This is done in WED clay, my first time using this clay and I love it! It is used by such masters as Jordu Schell and Don Lanning and they produce amazing pieces with it. People say it is meant for lager scale stuff witch I get , but I think it works great for smaller bust work as well. this piece is about the height of a coke bottle. Hope you like it!

first painted sculpture! Inspired alot by the painted sculps of jamie beswarick, another amazingly talented artists from weta. His paint ups are top notch. I tried to push alot feeling in this guys painted face and eyes. He's got that " I'm gonna rip your heart out face". Hope you like.

my third sculpt , first time in plasteline clay. Huge shout out to david meng and the gnomon workshop for producing an awesome dvd. It is hands down the best instructional video I ever seen.If you have an interest in creature design sculpture and producing some original characters with intense personality I would highly recommend it , there are alot of greats out there but in my opinion david is the best.

my second sculp, the crab gladiator. His armor and helmet are made of crab shell that grew out of him.I wanted the pose to be powerfull, leaning back, looking up and "working the crowd". More to follow, ENJOY!

this face is much older and I have her biting her bottom lip as she is being taken over, creepy.I am working very hard on the structure of my faces, getting to know the ins and outs of the skull.

little bug & tucker the texas toad

more character designs, little bug is a part girl part lady bug fairy, and tucker is a good old boy country toad. Little bug is modeled after my daughter , what a cutie. Oil on board 8.5 by 11.  I was going for a magical feel of them lighting up the night sky.

showing a softer side of my work. just working on some character designs, this is a upper class townsman  wiener dog named wellington. I was inspired by the work on alice and wonderland and I am trying to show my versatility!

"RAVEN HEART"

Another concept for the betrayed king returned through the soul of a raven.I have been working very hard on my pencils with control and line work. For design pencils can be very powerfull when handled well showing alot of detail very quickly, help understand your character. Ian mccaig great example of this love his work ,amazing draftsman. Also I started adding tone with watercolor to the backround to really make the pencil pop.
